Drilled vs. Slotted Disc Brake Rotors. Without question, brakes are the most powerful system on your vehicle. No matter how much horsepower you have, none. I love the look of drilled and/or slotted rotors but I don't want to run into problems later down the road. If you want full brake power get some factory blank rotors. .. It all depends on the car (weight vs hp) and the track layout. There's not much cons to having a blank rotor. Some drivers have a misconception that they should choose slotted or drilled rotors over blank.

If you find that only 1 rotor is having this problem, I would check for a stuck caliper. If you can help that would be great. Coilovers have been getting better and better over the years. Slotted rotors due indeed eat up pads the fastest, but perform the best. Furthermore, any benefit of extra cooling is most likely off set by the reduction of the rotors mass due to the drilling which lowers the overall heat capacity of the rotor. Slotted rotors sounds like the safest option if I want the cool look but keep the reliability.
